Our story

From river-fed fields to a steam still

Chamomile for Nile Bloom is grown in the rich alluvial soils of the Nile valley, where the warm days and cool nights draw out the flower's soft, apple-sweet character. The freshly gathered blooms go to a steam still the same day, and the fragrant steam is cooled into a pale, golden essential oil. The result is a gentle, herbaceous scent — warm, slightly sweet, with a clear chamomile note.

Good to know

How do I store it?

Keep the bottle tightly sealed in a cool, dark place, away from direct sun and heat, and it will keep its scent for a long time.

How long does a bottle last?

A few drops scent a whole diffuser. A 10 ml bottle gives many weeks of regular diffusing; a 30 ml bottle lasts several months.

Can I put it on my skin?

Chamomile essential oil is highly concentrated. It should be diluted in a carrier oil before skin use, and it is best to patch-test on a small area first. The roll-on is already diluted for gentle scenting.

Is the oil for aromatherapy use only?

Yes. We make no health claims — the oil is for its scent in diffusing and fragrance. If you have a health concern, please talk to a qualified professional rather than relying on essential oils.

Where does the chamomile come from?

Chamomile is grown along the Nile valley in Egypt and steam-distilled there. We buy from a single distillery that works with local growers.

How should I use the pure oil?

It is a scented oil for a diffuser, a room spray, or diluted in a carrier for a homemade perfume note. It is for fragrance, not for drinking, and it is not a medicine.
